We welcome Stephen Ntow as our new Football for Water Country Advisor in Ghana. Stephen was formerly involved in Football for Waters’ sustainable & innovative cost recovery program. He is the founder and Director of WASHealth Solutions (WHS) and has worked for the government, civil society and private sector of Ghana as a development consultant, public health practitioner and a health promotion specialist. He brings multi-sector experiences from health, education, water, sanitation and hygiene promotion to the team.
Stephen is a Ghanaian who has acquired skills in areas such as communication for development, capacity development, facilitation, research, strategy development, implementation support, monitoring and evaluation. Stephen speaks English and six Ghanaian languages and dialects, all of which are relevant in most of the Football for Water project regions in Ghana. He has acquired experience from other developing countries in Africa including Lesotho, Mali, Burkina Faso, Nigeria, Liberia, Mozambique, Madagascar and Zambia.
Stephen expects to increase the profile of the F4W program in Ghana and seeks to positively influence the WASH sector policy and private sector involvement using key outcomes and learning products. He is looking forward to learn from all the team members.
Stephen is the successor of our Country Coordinator Hilda Addah who will remain an important implementing partner of the F4W program in Ghana with her organization ‘Beyond the Goalpost’. The Football for Water program would like to extend its deep gratitude to Hilda. She has been a great Ghana program coordinator of the F4W program and we are very glad she will still be involved in the coming years. She has been essential in pulling the program from inception phase to a fully fledged program. People even call her Miss Football for Water!
